Everything was working fine, I was listening to MP3's this morning. I shut my computer down and when i came back and started it up this afternoon all I get is static out of my speakers.

I've gone through this, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449 and tried several things but I still can't get anything to work. Any other ideas would be great!
